What is Brain Dragons?

Brain Dragons gives children a simple, memorable way to understand how their brain works, and what to do when it feels out of control.

Built around three characters that children immediately connect with, the programme runs across six PSHE sessions and leaves pupils with practical self-regulation tools they can use for life.

Every session includes a Nidra Mind Moment — a short, guided breathwork or visualisation practice — that gives children a tool they can return to independently, long after the programme ends.

  • Flame

The fast, reactive part of the brain. Tthe one that fires up when something feels threatening, unfair or overwhelming. Flame isn't a villain. Flame is trying to protect you. But Flame needs Glide.

  • Glide

The calm, thinking part of the brain. The one that helps children pause, breathe, and choose how to respond rather than react. Glide takes practice to strengthen. Brain Dragons teaches children exactly how.

  • The Treasure Cave

Where habits, memories and beliefs are stored. Some are treasures, things that help. Some are heavy stones, things we carry that weigh us down. Children learn that what is in the cave can change.
